Attorney Kathleen Svoboda offers a compassionate, practical, real world approach to the legal issues her clients encounter no matter what stage in life.
The foundation of this approach includes work as an educator, a referee for the court system, as an administrative law judge, and as well as a licensed attorney.
Through her personal and professional experience, Kathleen Svoboda has developed an empathic approach to important life issues faced by clients which she calls Family Planning. Whether we are aging adults, children of aging parents, or parents with young children, Family Planning means preparing for incidents in life that we do not like to think or talk about. Whether we need to plan for ourselves, or assist our loved ones in committing to a plan, Family Planning should be an essential component of living in the present and preparing for the future. The firm has established a solid estate planning and estate administration practice in part thanks to returning clients and referrals from existing clients, all of which signals excellent legal representation and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Kathleen Halfpenny Svoboda is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy Law School, having received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan. She has studied applied ethics at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Leuven, Belgium. Having lived in multiple countries and communities, Ms. Svoboda is sensitive to cultural traditions of her clients and concerned about their wellbeing no matter what the background.
Valuing professional development, Ms. Svoboda continuously seeks the most current information and trends in the law that can be used to benefit her clients. She has participated in numerous conferences and seminars throughout her career and embraces opportunities for continued education and updates in the firm's practice areas.
Community service commitments are also very important as reflected in her role as a member of the Board of Directors for Assured Family Services, and former service to the Board of Directors of Vista Maria, both of which are not for profit organizations serving families and children in Southeastern Michigan.
